It uses gravity to force the liquid into your body through a small needle. A fundamental aspect of health care for those who rely on it.
The gravity infusion set is a combination of different parts functioning in unison. It consists of a bag to contain the liquid medicine or fluid. The bag that flits about like a ghost and is filled with different liquids as required by the patient, usually of soft plastic material. This is followed by tubing that attaches the bag to needle This tubing is similar to a small tube that enables the liquid from bag goes down only straightly into needle. A regulator plug that limits how quickly the liquid flows from bag to needle. The bag is then hung as close to the body of the patient but above, where with gentle force pushes in way it goes through a long tubing that ends up down into another needle which will be inserted carefully onto one vein.
Why would she want to make the switch from an ambulation set that made her life much more difficult when using a gravity infusion one is simple as pie. Using a wood stove does not require any complicated machines or fancy technology, Its simplicity also translates into affordability, thus creating a means for more people to access the medicines they require. It can be administered virtually anywhere — in hospitals, clinics or even at home since it does not require complicated equipment.
The gravity infusion set is also excellent at delivering precision medicine dosages. This process involves a crucial role of the regulator. This adjusts the high/low flow rates and ensures only a certain volume of liquid will be fed through the tubing into each patient. This is especially crucial for many drugs that are very sensitive to the dose, and precision in dosing of medication can be the difference between a cure or an ill.
These infusion sets are regularly used in hospitals and other medical centers for patients with constant infusions. Nevertheless, they were also intended for home use so patients with long term treatments could take care of themselves if adequately instructed. Such a practice might allow patients to receive fluids or medication they need without needing yet another trip through hospital gates.
